Columbus
Sixty-five miles west of Houston, Columbus dates back to the founding
of Anglo-American Texas. Members of Stephen F. Austin's "Old Three
Hundred" began settling the area in 1821. Its two breweries were
short-lived, perhaps as a result of Houston's breweries.
