S+ampede Brewing Company
2005-
Lawrence Schwartz started brewing S+ampede beer when he wanted a light
beer with body and flavor. Using his grandfather's old homebrewing recipes
as a base, he and Dr. Jospeh Owades, one of the creators of light beer,
created S+ampede Light. The plus sign means there are additives. Specifically,
vitamins of some sort. But the Federal Government, and, no doubt, the
Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, do not want him to list the additives
because that would be making a health claim.
