BOTTLE
FILLER
The
bottles move from the Soaker into the Filler and are filled as the machine
slowly revolves. The beer comes directly from the Government where it
has been kept at 32°F and has been checked for the exact carbonation
before it comes to the Filler. The crowing head comes down and presses
a cap on the bottle. The crowning pressure exceeds 500 lbs. The full bottle
then moves through the Pasteurizer where the temperature of the beer is
raised to 140°F for ten minutes then cooled to room temperature.
INSPECTION
LINE AND LABELING MACHINE
From
the Pastuerizer the bottles move single file past the Inspection Line
where it is magnified and inspected. The Inspector checks the bottle for
fulness, cracks due to the hot water, leaking, etc. The bottled then move
to the labeling Machine where the labels are put on. Each label is date
stamped in such a manner that the bottle can be traced to the individual
brews. From here the bottles move to the Packer where each case is filled
automatically. The bottle line operates at the rate of approximately 300
bottles per minute.
