Rahr & Sons Brewing Company 2004-Present
In 1847, Wilhelm "William" Rahr and his young
bride "Natalie" left Germany and came to America. Within the
year, on the banks of the Manitowoc River and Lake Michigan, William Rahr
had established the Eagle Brewery and Malt House. Here, the brewery and
malting facility produced fine German lagers and rich roasted malts.
In 2004, Fritz Rahr opened Rahr
& Sons Brewing Company at 701 Galveston Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas.
Currently, the brewery produces Blond Lager, Rahr's Red,
Ugly Pug Black Lager, Pecker Wrecker Pilsener, and Bucking Bock. They
give a free brewery tour and tasting every Saturday from 1:00-3:00 PM.
