Henry Warner/John Mauer 1875-1884
Henry Warner opened his brewery in 1875, according to Federal tax records, and brewed lager beer. John Mauer, born in Hesse in 1816 and had emigrated to Texas by 1870, took over the Fredericksburg, Texas brewery in 1877. Local legend has it that Mauer had ties to the Lone Star Brewery in San Antonio, established in 1884. Little more is known.
